Description
RadiaLyte™
is a linear emitting fiber optic cable. It is
constructed of multiple .75mm PMMA strands bundled
and extruded within clear PVC jacket. The unique
structure, protected by U.S. and International
Patents, provides bright linear fiber optic cable
that maintains good flexibility and emulates the
appearance of neon. RadiaLyte™ cable is
manufactured in three sizes ranging in nominal
outer diameters from 8 mm to 14 mm. The amount
of transmitted light per cable is proportional
to the core surface area of the cable. These cables
are used in cove lighting, glass block lighting,
building delineation, accent lighting, display
lighting, landscape lighting, pool and fountain
lighting, and sign applications. RadiaLyte™
maintains flexibility over its life span and can
resist deterioration due to sunlight up to 15
years.
Environment
RadiaLyte™
cables can be used in indoor or outdoor applications.
The PVC jacket contains UV inhibitors. To prevent
any deterioration, avoid allowing moisture between
the jacket and fiber bundle. Seal exposed ends
and use a sealed end cap whenever pushing or pulling
the cable through conduit or pipe. Avoid contact
with any sharp or abrasive surfaces that might
damage or penetrate the jacket.
